Shanae’a Moore is a Musical Theatre Graduate of Sam Houston State University and a current Graduate student at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She grew up in Juneau, Alaska, where she learned an appreciation for bear mace and the beautiful land that surrounded her. She has been a professional Actress in Houston, Texas for 8 years and has moved to Glasgow, Scotland to continue her studies.
Amid taking classes and workshops, Shanae’a is an artistic company member of Classical Theatre Company in Houston, Texas. Shanae’a also works as a teaching artist for Unity Theatre summer intensives and Theatre Under the Stars Community Engagement with programs such as the YMCA After School Musical Theatre, Early Arts Enrichment, Camp Cullen and Arts in Medicine programs. She also works as an independent Teaching Artist in School-Based programs, creating musical theatre-based arts integration residencies, which she facilitates across the Greater Houston area. Shanae’a owns a private lesson studio for voice, dance, acting and creative movement to teach artists how to hone their craft and become the most natural version of their unique artistic selves.
Shanae’a was fortunate enough to be chosen to be a part of Company One of The Performing Arts Project where she took classes from Jonathan Bernstein, Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Dave Clemmons, Michael Meresca, Neil Patrick Stewart, and Monica Raymond. In Glasgow, Shanae’a has participated in workshops by Playwrites’ Studio Scotland, Ewan Downie, Ian Speck, Big Telly Theatre Company, Joanna Ronan, Vanessa Coffey, Debbie Hannan, Paul Brotherston, Susie Dumbreck, Anna Dawson, Laura Donnelly, Maryam Hamidi, and Mara Menzies.
Shanae’a is an avid adventurer who is quite addicted to traditional archery and attempting to ride horses, and sharing art with all those she meets. Her art is aimed at uplifting people of all backgrounds, and encouraging artists to make revolutionary and unique art.
